We will continue to grow in 2025
January and February 2025 were the next months in a row where we jumped again in the year-on-year comparison of operating performance. These months were part of an 18-month streak where we have outperformed year-on-year every month.
The year 2024 was the most successful year for the airport under the Tatras in terms of the number of passengers handled since 1976, when the former Czechoslovakia flew from Poprad airport to the whole world.
In the first two months of the year, we handled 14,384 passengers, which is 24% more than in 2024. At the same time, we handled 1,003 air movements, which is 10% more than last year. Compared to 2023, we have grown manifold.
The year-on-year growth in the number of passengers is mainly due to the regular route to London, but also to the good weather, when visitors to the Tatras take advantage of the offers for sightseeing flights.

Long-term vision
The long-term vision of the airport under the Tatra Mountains is to play a key role in the development of tourism and tourist arrivals. The airport is located close to five national parks and the first top ski resort as well as alpine hiking can be reached in just 15 minutes by car from the airport.
