Press statement of the management of Letisko Poprad-Tatry, a. s.

The company Letisko Poprad-Tatry, a. s. strongly objects to the allegations published in the article of Denník N of 20 June 2025 entitled “Poprad airport under the management of Danko’s man sells alcohol illegally”. The article contains accusations and conclusions that are damaging to the reputation of the Airport and its employees and are liable to cause damage to the Airport.

We reject any allegations of illegal activity. The operation of bars and the sale of goods at the airport are strictly in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic.

Politicization of the topic – the way the article was presented artificially creates the impression of a “cause”. We consider this to be a purposeful conflation of a technical deficiency with a political context, designed to give a false sense of systemic misconduct.

The errors that were identified were also corrected without delay. We have taken technical measures to ensure that the items on the cash documents are accurately displayed.

We assure our passengers and partners that all flights continue to be operated in a safe and quality manner, in accordance with applicable national and international standards.

The airport remains open to constructive discussion with both public authorities and the media and is ready to provide relevant information to help clarify and resolve the situation.
