Poprad-Tatry Airport has great news for passengers! From 28 October 2025, WizzAir is bringing a pleasant change in departure times on the route connecting London and the Tatras.
Whereas previously early morning flights were primarily from London 5:05am (UTC), which meant passengers had to be at the airport by 3am, following the winter timetable update, the flight schedule will be as follows:
Departures from London-Luton Airport (UTC):
– Tuesday 12:25pm
– Saturday 1:05pm
Departures from Poprad-Tatry airport (UTC+1):
– Tuesday 4:30 p.m.
– Saturday 5:10 p.m.
What does this change mean for passengers?
Shifted flight times give passengers more sleep, a more convenient departure to the airport during the day, less stress with early wake-ups and a better opportunity to make the most of the day after arrival. At the same time, we’re making it easier for passengers who have missed out on the service due to inconvenient morning times.
The Poprad – London Luton route operated by Wizz Air will soon celebrate a significant milestone. The first flight took place on 28 October 2014 and on this day Poprad-Tatry Airport will commemorate the 11th anniversary of the direct air connection with the British capital. London has long been one of the most popular destinations for Slovaks and the route has a consistently high interest of passengers throughout the year, with the largest increases in tourists during the winter season.
