Following last year’s strong interest in autumn and winter stays in Hurghada, Egypt, tour operator Solvex has once again announced the launch of FIRST MINUTE sales. The first flight will be from Poprad on 17 October 2025 and then on a regular rotation every 7 days thereafter.
While autumn and cooler weather is starting here under the Tatras, the climate in Hurghada will be pleasantly warm. The advantage is also a smaller number of tourists and a greater choice of options. The air carrier will be the same as last year, directly from Egypt – Nesma Airlines. From the Tatra Mountains to the Red Sea, you can get to Hurghada in just 4.5 hours.

Egypt
Egypt, officially known as the Arab Republic of Egypt, spans northeast Africa and extends into Asia, specifically across the Sinai Peninsula. The country is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Red Sea to the east. Much of Egypt is made up of vast deserts such as the Sahara, Libyan and Arabian deserts, which are characterised by oases and a variety of rocky and mountainous massifs, particularly in the Red Sea and Sinai region. The Nile, the only permanent river in Egypt, brings life to the country and around it most of the agriculture and population is concentrated. Egypt is the birthplace of one of the world’s oldest civilisations and is home to famous monuments such as the pyramids, the Sphinx and ancient temples. Even today, Egypt is for many the ‘gift of the Nile’ that was key to its historical development.
